Styled shoots are such an invaluable part of staying creatively inspired as a photographer, and I will never stop investing my time and money in retreats like this one hosted by Ride or Die. The utter magic cultivated through this series of shoots still has me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed heading into wedding season, and for that I am grateful! I’ve been sitting on this three-part New Orleans wedding editorial for much too long—so it’s finally time to let it see the light. Beyond thrilled to show you the unreal visions this team brought to life, especially the eclectic wedding at Hotel Peter & Paul that blew me away from start to finish.

First up is quite possibly one of my favorite styled shoot concepts of all time: a vintage-inspired wedding at Hotel Peter & Paul, a boutique hotel just a short walk from New Orleans’s French Quarter. Once a 19th-century Catholic church and schoolhouse, it’s now one of the most beautifully designed stays in New Orleans. Hotel Peter & Paul was built in 1861 and maintains a certain level of historic charm that brings together eras past and present, featuring original (150+-year-old) stained-glass windows, abundant natural light, and spectacular architecture throughout. And my goodness, was it the most idyllic venue to execute this vision.
What stood out to me most about each of these three shoots is the attention to detail throughout; everything from the jewelry, to the flowers, to the plating was carefully planned down to the tiniest of elements. This first shoot was particularly exquisite, including elegant pieces such as lace linen tied around the bridal bouquet, fresh-foraged moss, hand-painted sunflowers and hand-laced anthuriums, and even custom bread for the tablescape. Asymmetrical floral arrangements framed the altar beneath the soaring church ceilings, covered in moss and bursting with the sweet scents of hydrangeas. Texture and color shaped this shoot, with an abundance of delicate lace and cascading satin drapery offering contrast to the rigid edges of the sunflowers and anthuriums. The striking brown, white, & green color palette of this tablescape is still living rent-free in my head!
If you’re just as obsessed with Hotel Peter & Paul as I am, I have an inkling you’ll love these other Unique Wedding Venues in New Orleans.

Next up on the itinerary: a vibrant, retro-styled elopement at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. Soft, pink hydrangeas offered a reprieve from the dark, whimsical stems and rich burgundy tulips in this scene, with a dusty-rose vintage Thunderbird as the centerpiece. Lace was a leading feature of this shoot, draped out the passenger-side window and spread across the hood of the car for a romantic street-side seafood picnic. I’m in love with the lilac bouquets and blue accents that added SO much dimension to this color palette—along with the tan suit and Yarrow dress these beauties wore. The fluid, modern, and sleek silhouette of the Yarrow paired with the oversized jacket and trousers? Absolutely stunning.
The color palette & vintage vibes of this wedding take me back to another shoot I did with Ride or Die—a Colorful Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Elopement at Salvation Mountain!

Our final venue for this series of shoots was the BK House, where the vibe was vintage garden party meets elegant summer picnic in the park. Lace detailing abounded across the invitation suite and courtyard furnishings, flowing from the fountain and incorporated into floral arrangements galore. Bright reds and yellows offered gorgeous pops of color everywhere, from fresh piles of strawberries to rich red roses; butter-yellow peonies to bright water lilies in the fountain. The summertime color palette of my dreams!
Each table was covered in an antique-inspired floral cloth, topped with crystal glasses, bud vases, gold swans, and lace doilies. The Camille Ensemble from SAINT Bridal stole the show, as did the white pantsuit; the contrast of the boxy, geometric frame and the Camille’s satin drop-waist corset offered the dreamiest blend of vintage and modern styles.
