BERTA has been a household brand name in the bridal industry for over a decade now, renowned for its blend of couture artistry and modern fashion across collections. Inspired by avant-garde design styles, designer (and icon) Berta Baliti has created something magical with her bold, sexy designs, somehow both contemporary and an ode to eras past—found in the vintage materials and retro styles you’ll notice throughout her work.
So believe me when I tell you I truly could not have been more thrilled to photograph the BERTA Fall/Winter 2026 collections debuted at New York Bridal Fashion Week. And now, I am over the moon to share them with you.

As I showcase a selection of my favorite images from the BERTA presentation, I’ll be highlighting a few key trends featured in these brand new collections.
Show me one wedding gown that has not been immediately elevated by a statement choker, a classy collar, or a fitted corset bodice—I dare you. These were three motifs of the new BERTA collections that I fell in love with at first sight; from lace chokers adorned in pearl chains and glittering crystals, to convertible collars used to emphasize simpler gowns, to waist-hugging corsetry that took my breath away. The sculptured corsets, in particular, were fabulous in contrast to the softer skirts and trains, creating unlikely pairings that worked together seamlessly.

Speaking of contrast, let’s chat necklines for a moment, and how important of a role they played in BERTA’s newest pieces. You’ll notice a multitude of differing necklines across the collections, including high-neck options with more coverage, as well as a deep, plunging sequin gown. But the two you’ll see repeated most are actually quite opposites: straight, square necklines and curved sweethearts. The contrast between this modern, rigid neck and the softer, more romantic sweetheart neck plays SO beautifully, and offers incredibly flattering options for all body types, aesthetics, and preferences. Did I mention how much I adored the balance of the structured shoulders and fluid silhouettes in these collections, as well?

Give me ALL the bridal gloves in 2026 and onward, please! Gloves were everywhere at NYBFW and are so hot right now, not just in the bridal design world but the world of fashion as a whole. Pairs varied from dainty lace gloves that barely touched the wrists to long, opera-style gloves with gorgeous embellishments, with all sorts of options to either serve as an individual accessory or add to the full vision of your bridal look. The classic lace numbers will always have a special spot in my heart… but I think these sheer, pearl and gem-bedazzled beauties stole my heart this time around (below).

Gone are the days where a veil is simply a piece of sheer tulle thrown over the main character of a bridal look—the dress: veils are now taking center stage, and being transformed into gorgeous artwork in their own right. BERTA has elevated each and every veil with its own unique silhouette, style, and details, offering classic lace veils and floral-embellished pieces—but they also introduced a variety of innovative hoods and headpieces that floored me on the stage. Hooded silhouettes, draping applique, sequins and pearls and beads galore… I’m so thrilled to see veils and headpieces FINALLY having their moment.

The details are where BERTA gowns shine, whether it’s in the embellished lace designs, embroidered tulle, intricate beading, or the feather details that added a playful edge to an otherwise sleek, structured dress. Each gown is exquisitely crafted with only the highest quality materials, and every little detail is high-end, luxurious, and intentional to add—not distract—from the strength of the gown itself. The way that BERTA so effortlessly weaves the most fabulous jewelry, beading, and embellishments into their designs will always blow me away!

As an editorial wedding photographer who draws much of her inspiration from fashion, it is such an honor to work with couples who get equally as excited about their attire as I do. I thrive on capturing the little details that make up the fuller picture—the silhouette of your gown, the embroidery that covers your collar, the bejeweled sleeves you waited months to get your hands on. Reach out now to work together, and let’s capture your own fashionable, fabulous celebration!
