Romantic, modern, sophisticated, earthy. . . what more could you want out of your brand photos as a luxury wedding florist? It was my absolute honor collaborating with Sam, the face behind Moonflower Design Co., on her Seattle wedding florist brand photos this past winter. The shoot came together flawlessly, boasting the dreamiest blend of earth, boho casual and elevated luxe vibes, complemented by a variety of props that told the story of Sam’s unique brand.
Spoiler alert: two of the “props” were actually her sweet kitties—and they absolutely stole the damn show.
When Sam and I first started chatting about her dream for these brand photos, it was my job to listen to her goals, her values, her ideas, her visions, and find a way to bring them all together into one cohesive, beautifully on-brand photoshoot. Moonflower Design Co. is all about creating intentional, unique, and sustainable floral designs, carefully customized to each individual client with care—so I knew that every element of this shoot was going to need to be just as intentional and curated to the incredible company Sam has created.
Our goal with this branding shoot was to memorialize Moonflower Design Co.’s new branding, as well as tap into a more luxury market, through fresh, elevated imagery. Words that immediately came to mind when I thought of Sam and her approach to wedding floristry: whimsical, modern, sophisticated, and luxe; a beautiful combination of the casual, down-to-earth energy she brings and the high-end, luxury experiences she curates for each of her couples.
When it came to styling for this shoot, I recommended three different approaches that we could mix together:
These three looks were the perfect way to showcase the personality behind Moonflower Design Co., giving Sam an incredibly versatile gallery of images to use in her marketing moving forward. She also chose to have her makeup done for this shoot by Amanda Dang, who did a fabulous job creating a naturally glam look to help Sam shine in front of the camera.

Props are a hugely important part of bringing a brand to life through imagery, especially for product-based businesses, or any service provider who works with their hands in any way. We wanted to photograph Sam not only sitting in front of the camera for formal headshots, but also working, designing, and creating just as she would for a client.
Here are a few items I’d recommend bringing along to your florist brand photoshoot that helped contribute to the authentic feel of Sam’s photos:
We began the shoot at the Moonflower Design Co. studio, where she had all of her floral design supplies accessible for some fun action shots. I find that clients LOVE to see behind-the-scenes images like this when they’re looking to hire a wedding vendor, so these lifestyle, candid images are a lot of fun to add to your website & share on social media. Documenting Sam in her natural environment was a breeze, especially as her studio was so effortlessly gorgeous and filled with beautiful props, backdrops, furniture, and plenty of natural light.
Sam had some extra fun with her “props” and brought along her two kitties, which made for the most adorable brand photos I’ve ever seen. Bringing your fur babies along (if they’re up for it) can be such a sweet way to incorporate the creatures you love so much into your brand, especially if you often talk about them with clients/in your marketing!
We wrapped up this brand shoot at Olive Seattle, a charming boho-inspired studio in Pioneer Square that I adore shooting at. The studio has these spectacular Tulum-style arches that are to die for, so of course we had to make use of them for the final collection of Sam’s brand images. She wore a classy all black outfit that really allowed her breathtaking floral installation to pop against the warm, taupe arches. She also brought out a few color palettes, as well as a color wheel and a flower color theory book, for some fun details to end the shoot with—love!
If you’re a wedding florist in Seattle (or any type of wedding vendor, for that matter) looking for creative, intentional, and artistic branding photos, you’ve come to the right place; it would be my pleasure to help you craft elevated imagery to use for your one-of-a-kind brand ✨Fill out my contact form here, and we’ll get started!
