Joyful Summer Winery Wedding at JM Cellars | Woodinville, WA
I’ll always say yes to photographing winery weddings—especially when they’re at a gorgeous venue in Washington with a couple I adore. Christy and Austin planned the most beautiful summertime soirée for their loved ones to attend, full of wine, dancing, and love (as their invitations stated). With a modern, elegant set of details, a dreamy color palette filled with shades of green & pops of pastel colors, and a guest list that was ready to show their endless support, their JM Cellars wedding in Woodinville, WA could not have turned out better🤍
I also photographed Christy and Austin’s Romantic Cake Smash Engagement in Downtown Seattle a while back! Christy planned the most creative, fun cake smash for the two of them to do while they were lounging around in a bar, and then they were off to the park for a golden hour picnic with books, games, and flowers abounding. A magical day through and through—and that feeling only continued for their special day later on.
Christy + Austin’s Summer Wedding at JM Cellars
A joyful morning of smiles, hugs, and champagne
Getting ready is typically a time of your wedding day where you get to be with family and friends that you love, having them help you put your outfit on, make those final touches, and celebrate the hell out of you before the official stuff begins; the morning of Christy and Austin’s wedding was no different. Christy had a group of her best gals (and guys) join her in the transition from robes to gowns, with plenty of laughter, cookies, and champagne to help along the way. I adored the mini bottles she gifted to each of her bridesmaids with matching rose gold scrunchies + the cutest little name tag attached! A perfect example of how wedding party gifts don’t need to be incredibly intricate or expensive; just a small personalized item like this is enough to show your gratitude and share the magic of the moment with those you love. On Austin’s side, there were also plenty of smiles reflected on everyone’s faces, drinks flowing around the room, and more games of pool than I could count.
Elegant details + a gorgeous green color palette
If you’re getting married in a forest, or anywhere that you’re surrounded by greenery, you cannot go wrong with a green-filled color palette. Christy had her ladies pick out their own bridesmaids dresses, all in a variety of different materials, textures, patterns, and styles—but they all coordinated beautifully with her & Austin’s palette of choice! We had shades of mint, sage, emerald, and olive blending together seamlessly for a modern, elegant look. This palette paired perfectly with the rustic atmosphere of the winery set among the trees.
Along with their dreamy color palette, Christy and Austin also executed the vision for their details flawlessly. With pops of lilac throughout Christy’s high heels, invitations featuring a deep green backdrop, and florals that were bursting with white, greens, and purples, they made perfect use of the rustic, outdoorsy atmosphere of this venue! I was obsessed with the floral arrangements they chose that didn’t take away from the natural beauty of the area; instead elevating it with soft eucalyptus branches, a few pops of lavender, and large white petals.
An emotional first look + private vow exchange
Christy and Austin met up for the first time all day under the trees, emotions welling up as the sun shone through the branches above them. They had a sweet, private vow exchange before heading back to join their guests—which I love when couples do if they’d rather save their personal vows for a more intimate moment like this! Just the two of you, nothing but the swaying of the trees and the singing of the birds surrounding you; a moment of peace, quiet, and presence together before the rest of the day unfolds.
A sunny ceremony among the trees
JM Cellars has an absolutely gorgeous ceremony space under the trees, creating a tranquil atmosphere amidst the greenery that couldn’t be more perfect for a ceremony like this. Christy and Austin said their vows, exchanged their rings, and officially became Mr. & Mrs. Lococo in front of all their loved ones—such a special moment to witness and capture for them to hold onto forever!
A cozy cocktail hour in the courtyard
There’s nothing I love more than an outdoor wedding reception under the setting summer sun, beneath sparkling strings of bistro lights in a romantic courtyard setting. Christy and Austin set up the most amazing cocktail hour for their friends and family, featuring a “Best of Seattle” food station with scrumptious Northwest-inspired bites, a constant flow of delicious wines, and breathtaking tablescapes + floral arrangements galore. The atmosphere of this summer evening celebration was a dream come true for any couple who is celebrating alongside the people they love most; it was intimate, welcoming, and fostered connection beautifully.

What better way to end your special day than dancing the night away by your best friends, followed by celebratory cigars outside? Christy and Austin took advantage of the spacious venue, dancing all night among the wine barrels and then made their way outside for a cigar break. These last few photos of the newlyweds with the biggest smiles on their faces have got to be my favorites of the day—congrats to the bride and groom on a lovely day, and here’s to an even lovelier life together!🥂
