I made the little jaunt up to Bellingham a while back to participate in a styled wedding put on by the Shootout Society, and my goodness did they deliver. The shoot was held at an absolutely magnificent Bellingham wedding venue, Lairmont Manor – a historic, Italianate-style manor hidden away in a little neighborhood near Fairhaven. 

A Beautifully-Curated, Garden Party-Inspired Celebration 

The romantic setting of this venue combined with the carefully-selected decor, chic wedding attire, spectacular stationary, and, of course, the champagne tower glistening in the setting sun, made for the most beautiful elegant-garden-party-inspired day. It was an absolute pleasure getting to photograph our gorgeous couple, Kiran & West, alongside a team of such talented fellow photographers!

We spent time snapping portraits of the two of them in the whimsical fountain garden, exchanging vows, and separated them eventually for some individual portraits – these two showed UP and showed off in every damn photo. My favorites have to be the dramatic shots of the two of them sitting at the grand piano, romance reflecting off the top and absolutely illuminating the room. 

I STILL have gotten not over the silky two-piece dress that Kiran rocked for these bridal portraits. With dramatic, puffy sleeves partway down her shoulders, an iconic sweetheart neckline, and a high-waisted skirt that fell far past her feet, this piece absolutely stole the show. Wes was giving off all the GQ vibes in his classy tuxedo, a thin black tie, and a minimalist hairstyle to let the rest of the outfit do the talking.

We also had the privilege of adding some bridal party shots into the mix thanks to the two lovely women who modeled alongside Kiran & Wes in their ruffled dresses, looking straight out of a whimsical European novel set in the 60’s.

The tablescape, beautifully crafted by Great Jones NW & Bleedfoot Florals, was the tablescape of my damn dreams: smooth, white plates surrounded by copper-colored silverware and beige name cards + menus with glorious serif fonts, candlesticks, and shadows cast by the golden sun shining through the trees. I simply could not have asked for a more purely gorgeous setup to photograph!
