Photographing Hannah and Peter’s wedding weekend at Woodinville Lavender was such a delight, from the beginning of their rehearsal until the final dance of the night. What a stylish, thoughtful celebration—beautifully executed by the bride and the groom themselves, no less!

A Fourth of July celebration for the books
Hannah told me “I really love our rehearsal looks, so let’s plan for some night-before coverage” —and then they showed up like THIS.
You bet I was absolutely drooling over Hannah’s marvelous gold sequin dress, and the velvet jacket Peter wore as they gathered with their guests. Truly the most effortlessly fashionable couple, and the wedding day hadn’t even begun!
The weekend festivities kicked off with a lovely rehearsal dinner at the venue with their closest loved ones—highlights included: the endless boxes of Costco pizza in the kitchen, a competitive night of trivia, and the guest gift bags decorated with bags of fragrant lavender buds.

Golden & glam details galore
If I learned anything during Hannah and Peter’s rehearsal dinner, it was that they did not take their details lightly. Everywhere I looked I found a new item to capture—be it the golden wax seals and lavender buds displayed on their invitations, the vintage-style ring tray, or the sleek cake knives engraved with the soon-to-be spouses’ shared last name. And to think, I haven’t even mentioned the cocktail napkins featuring their cats’ adorable faces, the audio guestbook, or the custom dinner plates for every guest! I’m telling you: thoughtful details like these will never go unnoticed, and are what shape the larger experience of your wedding for everyone involved.
The corseted bridal gown of my dreams
Onto the details of the couples’ outfits—fair warning, though, I may never stop talking about this dress.
Hannah wore a spectacular gown designed by Floure Studio (the Esme, to be exact), crafted with a corseted silk bodice and handmade 3D floral appliqué that BLEW me away. Paired with a voluminous tulle skirt and a wildly dramatic, sweeping train, this corset added just enough structure to really make the skirt pop; effortlessly fashionable and romantic in every way. This gown—and the pearl hanger Hannah brought for it—stole the show, and rightly so.
We haven’t even touched on her array of accessories yet, but that is truly where the magic lay in Hannah’s bridal attire. As if her magnificent gown weren’t enough, a multi-layered, twisted pearl choker from McQueen Gems completed the look, as did the most striking leather dalium flower she held in place of a bouquet. Slow strolls & sweet vows in the garden
Hannah met up with her handsome groom in one of the many lush garden areas of Woodinville Lavender, leather flower in hand as they embraced one another in a sweet, private moment. Peter was ALL about the velvet jackets for the weekend, this time wearing a deep blue piece paired with beige trousers. They looked damn good as they strolled through the gardens, mingled with loved ones, and eventually went their separate ways just before the ceremony.
And if your jaw isn’t on the floor already, it’s about to be when you see Hannah walk down the aisle donning not only her splendid gown, but the custom blue veil she had made for a little touch of color. These two glowed in the sunshine as they exchanged their vows, cheered on by family and friends as they shared an ever-dramatic dip kiss in front of the greenery. It was officially official: Hannah and Peter were finally Mr. & Mrs. Zajac 🍾
Dinner, dancing, and a dress change
Just in time for their evening festivities, Hannah brought out two final surprise additions to her outfit: the most exquisite, embellished pearl cake bag by Simone Rocha (absolutely unreal), as well as a dress & shoe change for the dance floor. Adorned with dainty black bows, this satin gown offered a little more freedom to move and groove to the music—without sacrificing style. We lucked out with a gorgeous sunset to end the night, painting the sky in soft pinks and purples as if to celebrate the newlyweds. And what better way to end a Fourth of July wedding than with a dramatic sparkler exit? 🎇
