Downtown Seattle + Imperia Lake Union Wedding
Wedding days are completely different when they involve capturing two people you love. There is no bigger honor than being asked to document the wedding day of your good friends whose relationship you’ve watched blossom over time, now being celebrated as an official union—and that was Jamison + Charlie for me! I was lucky enough to do their rooftop engagement session earlier this year as well, and their downtown Seattle + Imperia Lake Union wedding was actually the last one I shot before taking time off for maternity leave to welcome baby girl. Jamison + Charlie’s Imperia Lake Union Wedding
A cozy morning at the Charter Hotel
J + C spent their wedding morning getting ready at the Charter Hotel, an incredibly charming boutique hotel in downtown Seattle that perfectly fit their elegant details + set the mood for plenty of celebratory mimosa toasts. Jamison’s room was full of joy, laughter, and endless smiles as she got dressed alongside her girls, while Charlie was just a few rooms over gifting the sleekest custom Leathermans to his groomsmen. My heart is always so full seeing couples who are intentional about thanking their loved ones for being there to support them, whether it’s through shared hugs or meaningful gifts!
The Charter also made for a gorgeous space to have Jamison and Charlie’s first look, set against a wall of windows overlooking the streets of downtown Seattle. Jamison shared a first look with her dad before making her way to Charlie, beyond thrilled to see his beautiful bride in her classy Martina Liana gown. The soon-to-be newlyweds made their way down to the lobby for a first look with their entire wedding party—the sweetest, most fun idea that I think should absolutely become a new trend! Sunny bridal party portraits at Volunteer Park
After a host of greetings, welcomes, hugs, and time to mingle with loved ones, Jamison + Charlie and their group were off to Volunteer Park via party bus. The perfect way to make yourselves feel like celebrities on your wedding day, if I do say so myself 😉 The Seattle sunshine was out to play on this gorgeous summer day, bringing out the breathtaking shades of purple worn by Jamison’s bridesmaids, and the whimsical white + lilac florals they carried. It’s always so much fun when couples decide to take their wedding party portraits at a location outside of their venue, as it adds SO much variety to your gallery. Plus, who doesn’t want an excuse to spend quality time enjoying the day with their friends, before meeting up with the rest of the guests at their ceremony venue?

A vibrant lakeside ceremony at Fairview Park
The scenic lakeside views at Fairview Park provided a picturesque location for Jamison + Charlie’s wedding ceremony, located right on the shoreline of Lake Union. After waltzing around the park and making a quick stop at their reception venue to gather final ceremony items, these two lovebirds tied the knot beneath the swaying trees of Fairview Park, in front of an intimate group of their most loved people. Ethereal white, cream, and purple blooms lined the ceremony arbor, enhancing the vibrancy of the summertime colors and adding dreamy pops of color to the lush greenery of the park around them. The excitement and delight as Jamison + Charlie shared their first kiss as husband and wife was evident amongst the entire group, and behind my camera, too—seeing two of my good friends make things official. What a joy to witness!
A joy-filled wedding reception at Imperia Lake Union
The smiles only continued as everyone made their way a few minutes down the road to Imperia Lake Union, a luxurious private event space in Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood, overlooking marvelous views of Lake Union.
