I was, and still am, absolutely bonkers-obsessed with everything about Sabrina + Tanner’s beautiful intimate wedding at Shafer Baillie Mansion. This was one of my favorite venues to date – hence why I went a little overboard on the detail shots in this blog, I just couldn’t help myself! It’s not an exaggeration when I say that every corner of this venue was filled to the brim with stylish touches, and every room brimming with Victorian-era charm. Don’t take my word for it – see it for yourself & enjoy this peek into the lovely wedding!

Sabrina + Tanner’s Magnificent Mansion Wedding in Seattle

The Victorian venue of my dreams

When I tell you that this venue blew me away, I mean it with my whole heart. From the moment I stepped into this Victorian Bed & Breakfast and saw the glistening chandeliers, the greenery galore, the luxurious furniture, and the massive statues in the garden. . .you bet I whipped my camera out to snap photos of every miniscule detail I could find! 

The venue was incredibly spacious, featuring a multitude of interconnected rooms, each decorated in a slightly different way, yet every one was more stunning than the last. You’d find wicker chairs, tables, & baskets in one room, and luxe, Victorian-era lounge chairs & chaises in the next. Every room featured marvelous windows, allowing every corner to bask in the sunlight, and an abundance of elegant, artistic touches; from mirrors lined with thick, golden frames, to sparkling chandeliers and Victorian lighting fixtures, to the fireplace underneath a gorgeous wooden mantle.

Refined details & tasteful decor 

The best part of this venue was that because every room was already so beautifully-designed, Sabrina + Tanner really didn’t need to add much decor – they let the space speak for itself. But the details and decor they did include were refined, elegant, and ever so stylish! Each piece of the dessert table featured a lovely little gold-embossed card, with the name of the dessert written in a vintage font that matched the mansion vibes beautifully. The couple gave out adorable “meant to bee” jars filled with honey as wedding favors, had a beautiful arrangement of food splayed out for their guests, and overall just allowed the Victorian-inspired design of the mansion speak for itself!

A ride-or-die bridal party

One of my favorite parts of shooting weddings is getting to meet my couples’ wedding parties, and being able to watch them interact with the humans they love most. Sabrina’s bridesmaids were so ride-or-die for her and I loved seeing their beautiful friendship shine through the day, from the morning when they helped her put her dress on to the evening when they helped her take it off & switch into a lovely satin gown. Their support & love for their friend was so easy to see – there’s truly nothing like having your closest friends by your side on one of the biggest days of your life!

An evening of karaoke, dancing, & delectable bites

Tanner took the mic for karaoke at the end of the night and put on an absolute show for his new wife & their guests – he crushed it and everybody was cheering him on from beginning to end. It was an absolute blast watching Sabrina + Tanner celebrate the most special day with their loved ones and having a kickass time, simply being so present in the moment and taking in allll the emotions & beauty of the day. It was an honor to document it all!

Located in the heart of Capitol Hill, the Shafer Baillie Mansion is a spacious Tudor Revival home that you’ll fall in love with the moment you step foot in the first room. Elegantly decorated and thoughtfully designed, the mansion features the most magnificent, rich oak and mahogany woodwork, eclectic furniture & lighting fixtures, elegant ambiance, oriental rugs, and so much more that you just have to see to believe.

A wealth of stylish spaces to enjoy

I absolutely adore when wedding venues have a variety of spaces to offer – it was fun getting to see Sabrina + Tanner’s guests move through the various rooms of the mansion and enjoy the unique design of each one! If you host your wedding at the Shafer Baillie Mansion, you’ll get to enjoy a variety of common rooms, including the Salon, a cozy Sun Room, a spacious Dining Room, a gorgeous library, and so much more. The grand staircase leading up to the second floor is one of my personal favorite features of the mansion!

While the venue’s website doesn’t detail the specific packages that are available, it does mention that rental rates for weddings & receptions at the Shafer Baillie Mansion range from $500-$3000, depending on the size of your wedding, how long you’d like to use the venue for, the day of the week, & the time of year. I’d recommend reaching out to the venue to get a quote for your dream wedding at the mansion!
