If you thought chic was just for “sophisticated” weddings, or intricate elopements full of complex & elegant details, this stunning elopement is about to prove you so wrong! I photographed Fai & Jon last year for a styled cabin elopement and boy did every detail come together flawlessly. Get ready to become absolutely enamored by this chic elopement in the woods at the Canyon Creek Cabins in Granite Falls, WA – I can guarantee you’ll be ready to pack your bags and book a romantic weekend at this cabin by the end of this blog!
I was smitten with Fai & Jon as soon as we met up in the middle of this gorgeous forest, and immediately knew we were going to create something just magical together✨ There’s something so enchanting about the trees of the Pacific Northwest and the way everything falls silent around you; the way the forest opens up the opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life and into a totally tranquil environment with nothing but the river rushing, the birds chirping, and the raindrops trickling onto the ferns around you.
Fai looked nothing short of a fairytale princess for this shoot, donning a stunning off-the-shoulder gown by Sarah Seven (from the Dress Theory) that boasted a soft semi-sweetheart neckline, airy sleeves, and a beautiful column silhouette. Her gentle curls draping over her bare shoulders was just *chef’s kiss,* and paired with chunky pearl earrings, a couple of fine gold rings, and a lacy, floor-length veil, her look was kept minimal yet charmingly elegant.
And we can’t forget about Jon, who sported a classic black tux with a white undershirt and glossy black shoes, also keeping his look fairly simple without the presence of a tie, letting Fai shine as well as the breathtaking landscape around them.
Can we just take a pause to admire the gorgeous details that were curated for this cabin elopement? Let’s start with Fai’s jewelry, a simple pairing of chunky pearl earrings with copper-colored gemstones and a few fine, gold rings that she adorned on her left hand. She and Jon really let the location speak for itself, not even incorporating many florals into the elopement – in fact, all they had was a few long-stemmed, burgundy blooms that Fai carried with her to add to her elegant, woodsy-princess vibe. A STUNNER. Oh, and the gloves she slipped on partway through the day? Whewwww. Who knew that a pair of sheer gloves could add such an elegant touch to an already beautiful bridal look?🔥
Fai and Jon wrapped up the day with a comfy, cozy, champagne hang in the woods, enjoying the magical ambiance of the space & the dreamy hot tub out on the deck🥂I think one of the most stellar aspects of eloping is the quiet time and space you get ALL DAY with your partner to really soak in the gravity of it all, especially during peaceful moments like these where it’s just you two and the trees ❤️
What a glorious styled cabin elopement to be a part of. I am so grateful to Fai and Jon for allowing me to capture these intimate aspects of their relationship and for joining me in one of the most stunning places in WA that I’ve ever visited!

Now let’s chat a little bit about this phenomenal cabin elopement venue, because I will NEVER stop raving about it: the cabin where I photographed Fai & Jon was part of the Canyon Creek Cabins, a set of three stunning cabins in Granite Falls. Just an hour away from Seattle, these neighboring cabins provide the ideal getaway for anybody looking for a little escape into the woods, whether you’d like to plan a romantic weekend getaway, a gathering with some of your closest friends, or your intimate elopement.
Because there are three separate cabins, you can choose the one that best fits the vibe you’re going for + the size of your group. And no matter which cabin you go with, you’ll get all the same incredible amenities: gorgeous bedrooms, open kitchens, comfy sofas, a fireplace, and phenomenal views. All three cabins are dog-friendly, so you’re free to bring your pups along with you, too!
Below are a few of the most important details + highlights of each cabin to help you decide which one might be right for your vacay.
