I had the privilege of photographing an old friend’s wedding last year in Grand Rapids, and when I tell you it was a tropical soirée for the ages, I mean it. Michigan may not be known for its warm climate or its year-round blooming foliage, but Jess & Walker said f*** it – let’s make it happen anyway. A Stylish Greenhouse Wedding for the Ages

I was friends with Jess in high school, so when I found out she was getting married & got asked to photograph her special day, my nostalgic little heart melted on the spot. I knew their day would be absolutely top-notch and filled with intentional details from top to bottom, and I wasn’t wrong. Jess & Walker are professional dancers and run their own damn dance studio, so their first dances were a big deal – they were fully choreographed and absolutely blew away everyone in the room.

This day was filled with snazzy outfits, minimal yet oh-so-elegant decor to compliment the botanical atmosphere, friends & fam that looked like straight A-list celebs, and so much intention packed into every detail. It was much too easy to document the romance of Jess & Walker’s wedding and the love that was passed around from beginning to end – I’d hardly consider it “work!”
